   ♪ ♫ ♩ ♬ I have been so connected with music for the past few days. Its just every song I listen to is describing my emotions, my situations that it’s becoming a little scary. That’s why I love music so much. People are able to express themselves through their lyrics and someway or another I vibe off of it. I was on itunes the other day just browsing through artists. I came across two artists whom I've never heard about and there music to me is amazing. I even wrote their names down so I wouldn’t forget and put “Amazing” next to them.

The first artists name is Susan Justice. I don’t know anything about her other than her name and that she can sing. She brings off both pop and soul.  On her website she describes her music; “I write about my struggle for truth and freedom”
I’ve only heard three of her songs (via myspace and itunes) and I am excited to see what else she has in store for the people.

The second artist I came across on itunes was Angel Taylor. Now you may already be familiar with her if you know of the gospel trio “Trin-I tee 5:7” with surrounding members Chanelle Haynes and Adrian Anderson. I believe this group is still together but I think the last album they put out was back in 2009. But to the average person, one would think that angel is out doing a solo gospel album. That is far from the contrary. When I first heard her music I was surprised. She as well has a pop/country twist to her. Her music is so similar to Colbie Caillat. A lot of her fan base from her gospel career aren’t too pleased with this change in genre of music. But I guess your not always going to make everyone happy. right?...Listen to her music and please go support her. She has an album out that’s like $8 and its 13 wonderful songs.

Eat. Pray. Love

       The other day , I went to the movies alone to go see “Eat.Pray.Love”. Apparently the movie is based off the book that was written by Elizabeth Gilbert  

But I honestly never mind going to the movies by myself. When you go alone you don’t have to worry about someone hogging all the armrest next to you; the many questions of “Did you see that”. Majority of the time if you pick the right theater and the right time it’s just merely you and the movie. Well I’ve been hearing nothing but great things about this movie and so I decided to go. When I first got to the theater I paid my $8 matinee price, and decided to snack on some nachos and an icee. “Yummy” When I first walked in the theater it smelled like pee. Sorry to be so blunt, but I honestly wanted to walk out; not to mention there were all these old people inside.  I really didn’t know what to expect from this 2 ½ hr movie other than someone traveling across the world where based on the title itself you’d assume its just about her eating, praying and finding love.

 I want to say its far more than that. In this movie Julia Roberts is really trying to balance her life and find herself. That’s what I took from the movie. The only way she was really able to do that was to go away to another country; 3 to be exact to really and truly find herself. It was really eye opening to me because I think sometimes we as people get so caught up in the world and life that we too can lose ourselves and tend to be off balance. In this movie she shows you how she balances it. I learned a lot from this movie and I truly would recommend people to go see it. I’m not sure if it’s a guy film though; because a lady brought her husband and he was knocked out the whole time lol. But men have sensitive sides too. Peep the preview below :

Fried Oreos; Fat Girl Post

 Ok...now I first heard about fried oreos from Angela Simmons via her twitter. She was at some restaurant I think and she twit-pic fried oreos. Now when i first saw it; i was like eww. Who would eat such a thing? But me being the person I am decided to research this new snack craving that people are talking about. Its unknown as to who exactly first created these oreos( if you have information on who; let me know, so i can pay homage to that person) They are being compared to carnival snacks such as funnel cakes, corn dogs, etc. But fried oreos are heaven sent! especially with some icecream "licks lips, and goes to la-la land...." Here is the recipe for fried oreos. Im interested to know who has tried them; who would be willing to try them, and who thinks the idea is mortifying. Send me pics. Fried Oreos Recipe

Things You'll Need

• 20 Oreo (or other chocolate sandwich) cookies (some people will freeze the cookie) 
• 1 cup dry pancake mix
• 1 large egg
• 1 cup milk
• 2 tsp. vegetable oil
• 4-6 cups vegetable oil for frying
• Deep fryer or large saucepan
• Powdered (confectioner's) sugar

Measure dry pancake mix into large bowl. Crack egg, stir into mix.

Slowly add one cup of milk a little at a time, stirring after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp. vegetable oil

Pour oil into deep fryer up to fill line. If using a saucepan, pour in enough oil to cover the Oreos completely and allow them to float freely. Heat the oil to 375 degrees.

Dip the Oreos in the batter, turning to make sure they are completely coated. Do not let them soak in the batter for too long or they may get soggy and fall apart when you try to fry them.

Fry the Oreos in small batches (4 to 5 cookies at a time) for 1 to 2 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffy. Remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon or spatula and let them dry on a plate covered with paper towels to soak up any grease.

Dust the Oreos with powdered sugar.

 Eat them while they are still warm.

Promotion is Everything ***

So many people want to be successful in life but a lot of people aren’t motivated enough to go the extra mile and promote themselves. My question to those people “How are we going to find you”. You can’t expect for someone to go out and search for you, because if you do 9x out of 10 you will be out of luck. You ever think about how most of these celebrities get noticed? Take Soulja Boy for example. No one would ever know Soulja boy existed if it wasn’t for his youtoube videos. That’s as real as it gets. He promoted himself through his videos on youtoube. People gained an appreciation for a young dude from Atlanta Georgia because of his drive and to gain the attention of others.

Or how about Dondria; who was noticed off of her youtoube videos. She has videos and videos of her singing her heart out. She gained more viewers, more subscribers and the right person saw her video and now she’s apart of So So Def.

This is what I'm saying. You can’t expect to make it somewhere if your not promoting yourself. Im not saying that if you dont promote yourself you wont make it. But you probably have a better chance of making it at a faster pace if your out there promoting. What about the other percent of people who are indeed promoting however who promote themselves the wrong way. Unfortunately those are the ones who sometimes end up at the end of the track instead of the front. 
My advice to people who are trying to make it is this :
Once you really and truly figure out what it is that you want to do in life; what your truly passionate for; then do it. Ill tell you this…if you’re not passionate about what you’re doing in life; or it really is not of interest to you. “YOU WILL NOT BE SUCCESSFUL” because in my eyes being successful means doing something you love to do, being content and being happy. Everyone has his or her own definition, i'm sure. But The truth of the matter is if you don’t promote yourself; don’t expect people to know who you are. (i'm just saying…)

Passion.Pain.Pleasure

My blogs are targeted to spotlight people! People I feel are on their grind, are trying to do something and showing them credit. I wanted to take the time to point out one of my favorite artists Trey Songz, who has been on his grind this year and even though I don’t know him; I am a proud fan! Trey has continued to put in work, time after time and it has officially paid off. Even though he put out two great albums prior to "Ready"...obviously it just wasn't his time to shine. Once he released his mix tape "Anticipation" I think it gave people an insight on who he really was. Once ready was released "It debuted at number three on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling 131,000 copies in its first week"...and after that things have continued to skyrocket for him. Just finishing a worldwide tour with one of the greatest rappers Jay Z to now headlining his own tour to begin next month/a month prior to his next anticipated album "Passion Pain & Pleasure" Just yesterday he debuted his single off this album "Bottoms Up" featuring Nicki Minaj and I have to admit the track is hot! Sha’unea - In Love Again

"Brittani Sha'unea Williams" is an aspiring singer from Atlanta Georgia. Now days there are many people who are trying to be the next, Keri Hilson, or Ciara. What I like about this artist is that she has her own unique sound. She is not trying to be compared to the next female artist, but is trying to get people to get to know her through her music. A single mother who is trying to make a foundation at home for her and her son, but also trying to make her dreams comes true.

AJ: First things first, your real name is Brittani. Why did you choose your artist name to be “Sha’unea”?
Sha’unea- Sha’unea is my middle name. I wanted my artist name to be different but still apart of me.

AJ: How old were you when you started singing?
Sha’unea: 9 or 10

AJ: Did you always know you wanted to sing?
Sha’unea: Yes. I did. Growing up, I used to lead the choir at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Marietta Georgia

AJ: What are some artist that inspired you
Sha’unea: Fantasia and Keyshia Cole. They both inspired me because there two different artists who had different struggles that I could relate to. They truly inspired me

AJ: Do you write your own music?
Sha’unea: Yes, I write all my music

AJ: What do you think of the music being played on the radio these days
Sha’unea: When I hear the music being played on the radio it makes me feel like anyone can make music. It seems people take heed to the beat of the music then the lyrics. As long as the beat is hot, you have a hit. People should acknowledge a song for not only the beat but also the lyrics. The lyrics and delivery should make the song.

AJ: How will your music differ from the music we already listen to (What can we expect from your music)?
Sha’unea: You will always get delivery. You will get hot lyrics with a hot beat. I’m bringing diversity to the table. My music will be for any and everyone. It will be both a mixture of Pop and R&B.

AJ: So if I go to the club, can I expect to hear Sha’unea?
Sha’unea: of course

AJ: So my final question to you; is what is the best advice you can give to someone who may feel like a current situation is holding them back from there dreams

Sha’unea- Just because your faced with something does not mean you should stop your dreams if anything it should make you wants to push yourself harder. That’s the best advice I can give someone. Push yourself and work harder.
